As I started my journey in network marketing I was forced to remember that a strong foundation is the key to success. I usually do things backwards in life and so my business venture with Ambit Energy and network marketing wasn’t any different. I jumped right in as if I’ve been marketing all of my life.
After exhausting my warm market I realized that it was time to break out of my shell and find business partners to join my team.....but how? I reached out to a former coworker who is now a Senior Director with Stream and she said I needed to learn how to talk to people because she knew I was not the one who would go out and talk to people. She said I needed to learn to ask a few key questions and then listen to their response. My foundation should have started with a tape of the week club or book of the month club. Her comforting words were “You will learn on the job as you go to the seminars, team functions, read network marketing books and by listening to podcasts.”
And that’s what I began to do.
